Wahiawa Community Food distribution

Every third Friday of the Month we partner with ALEA Bridge,The Hawaii Food bank, Calvary Chapel Wahiawa, Wahiawa Baptist Church and many community members to feed our community. This is a drive through and pick up service. The food arrives between 8:30 am and 10 am. After the food arrives the volunteers package the food in bags and prepare the stations for the drive through service. Next, as the people drive through we have a system that lets us know how people and families are represented by each vehicle. Finally, as the vehicles with the number of people and families in each car is displayed in the front window of the cars, we load the appropriate number of groceries in each vehicle (11:30 am -1pm). Afterwards, the volunteers help cleanup area and take down the tents and tables. (1pm -2 pm)

food for the body music for the soul.

We recently added some praise and worship music to the community food distribution. We want to give people food for the body, and the spirit. Seen here is members of Calvary Chapel Wahiawa praise team, Tim and Wally.
